Openpilot just got a lot more collaborative. With the rollout of the new training architecture, your driving feedback is more actionable than ever before. And Comma is making it easier to contribute.
In a Reddit post shared by Adeeb from Comma, drivers were encouraged to actively participate in shaping openpilot’s behavior through structured feedback. The Comma team has launched two new Discord channels: #driving-feedback and #driving-feedback-forks, where users can share direct feedback on specific drives.
How It Works
Got a drive where openpilot behaved oddly? You can now:
- Copy your Comma Connect drive link.
- Post it in the #submit-feedback channel on Discord with a brief description of the issue.
- The Comma team will take a look—if it’s actionable, a fix could be shipped in the very next release.
Why This Matters
Previously, it was hard to know whether feedback led to real changes. But with the new training pipeline, data can now be processed in a way that directly influences future behavior—meaning your drive could actually retrain the model.
This is a new level of openness and iteration for openpilot, and it reflects Comma’s commitment to a user-driven future for self-driving technology.
