The Comma Space will be reporting live from San Diego
Calling all autonomous driving fans, hardware tinkerers, and open-source enthusiasts — Comma Con 2025 is coming on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the JULEP Venue in San Diego
And yes — The Comma Space will be on the ground, bringing you live updates, interviews, and as many sneak peeks as we can get access to.
What to Expect at Comma Con
Comma Con has always been more than a conference — it’s a community gathering, “open-house,” and showcase for what the Comma.ai team and the broader openpilot ecosystem are building. This year promises to deliver:
- Deep dives into hardware, software, and infrastructure from the teams that build them.
- Talks from key leaders, including Yassine Yousfi (Head of ML), George Hotz (President), Harald Schaefer (CTO), Robbe Derks (Hardware), Mitchell Goff (Infrastructure), and Adeeb Shihadeh (CPO).
- A community Q&A session with the full team.
- Booths and exhibits from Comma’s hardware & production divisions, plus contributions and innovation demos from members of the Openpilot community.
- Social & networking time: happy hour, meals, and time to mingle.
For attendees, general admission includes lunch, dinner, snacks, coffee, and soft drinks.
If you want some extra perks, the VIP ticket option includes:
- A Friday night omakase-style dinner at Comma headquarters
- Behind-the-scenes tours
- Reserved plush seating, open bar, gourmet meals, personal butler, event swag, and preferred parking.
Be aware — tickets are final sale and the schedule is subject to change.
Why Comma Con Matters
In past years, Comma Con has been where major announcements and launches are teased or revealed (Comma has already teased some sort of announcement at the event), where community contributors get face time with the core team, and where the “future of chill driving” is more tangible than ever. With autonomous and driver assist systems advancing rapidly, this event provides a rare opportunity to see how openpilot, hardware iterations, data approaches, and infrastructure evolve — all in one place.
For anyone following Comma.ai’s trajectory — whether as a user, tinkerer, or fan — Comma Con is the event to watch.
